Murphy's law states that "when something can go wrong, it will go wrong". Another law states that Murphy was an optimist.
There are times in most people's lives when everything seems to go wrong at the same time, or things go from bad to worse. For example, someone loses their job, starts drinking, has an accident, lands in the hospital, and then their SO discovers a suspicious motel receipt in their coat pocket. My own set of circumstances are quite different, but the common theme is that when things seem to go terribly wrong, I really don't know if I can handle one more thing turning to mud.
When life begins to overwhelm me, it may help tremendously when I take some quiet time, and tap into the mysterious forces I have inside of me. Often during such quiet moments, I discover strengths that I wasn't aware I had, or insights that help me weather the storm better than I ever realized possible.
Whether I make contact with my inner strength through prayer, meditation, or quiet reflection, I'll discover a whole new source of strength I can call on during life's most difficult moments.
When circumstances knock you to your knees, it's a good time to pray
